ZTE released its newest flagship smartphone, the Axon 7, in China just yesterday. Today, the company has announced pricing for the US and EU, meaning that the device will be available in these markets as well in the near future.

According to GizChina, the Axon 7 will be sold for a price of $449 (€402) in the United States while fans from Europe will have to pay $457 (€409) for the non-3D touch model. In China, the ZTE Axon 7 was released for a price of $442 (€396) for the basic model while the premium model with pressure sensitive screen costs $502 (€449).

The Axon 7 will be available in the US, but the company hasn’t mentioned the exact release date. Still, it will be sold through ZTE’s online stores, as well as Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, eBay, and Newegg. Axon 7 will be compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile’s networks upon launch. The price and availability for ZTE VR headset haven’t been revealed.

The premium variant of the Axon 7 will include 3D Touch display

Therefore, the Axon 7 comes in two variants. The main difference between these models is linked to internal storage and RAM configuration, the usual reason why some manufacturers release multiple variants of the same phone model.

However, the Axon 7 will also include 3D Touch technology in its premium variant. 3D Touch allows the phone’s display to sense the difference in finger pressure and enable gestures, like Peek and Pop. The gestures can be used to open web pages, images, and other content more easily.

The Axon 7 comes with a powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB/6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, with the option to expand memory to 128GB using a microSD card. It should also have a 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display and an 8MP front camera with 20MP on the back. It has Type-C USB 3.0 port, and it measures 151.7 x 75 x 7.9mm.
