Microsoft compiles new builds for Windows 10 PCs and mobile devices every day, and this morning, a new version showed up, hinting at more improvements aimed at phones that are still running 10586.

OneTile has spotted Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.420, which is just a cumulative update for the original 10586 version, so it would be specifically aimed at users who aren’t yet part of the Insider program, but also at those on the stable build of the operating system.

Certainly, the fact that Microsoft is currently evaluating this build is no confirmation that it would also hit the public rings, but for the moment, it looks like development of new Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile builds and updates is going at a really fast pace.

It’s not yet very clear if this new update brings any big changes, as is the case with these releases for 10586 devices, but such a thing is very unlikely, and Microsoft is probably focusing exclusively on fixing bugs and improving performance.

New full build already released this week

With little luck, this build could be released to insiders in the coming days before being eventually pushed to everyone at a later time.

As far as new fully featured Windows 10 Mobile builds are concerned, the company has already shipped one this week. Windows 10 Mobile build 14356 is a new build that’s full of bug fixes and performance improvements, but also brings some new features such as notification synchronization between PCs and mobile phones, as well as some new Cortana capabilities.

The Windows 10 Anniversary Update, which all these builds are previews of (with the exception of 10586 updates, though), is projected to see daylight in July, so it kind of makes sense for Microsoft to focus more on fixing things and improving performance. Word has it that Windows 10 Anniversary Update is already feature-locked, so no new options are being developed.
