There’s an upcoming GNU/Linux conference for those living in the Seattle area, and it promises to be a starting point for anyone interested in switching to a free and open source operating system for their personal computers.
Seattle GNU/Linux Conference or SeaGL is an annual event that takes place in Seattle, a city in Washington, USA. SeaGL’s first year was 2013, so this will be the fourth year in a row for GNU/Linux users living around that area to meet new people and share their knowledge about everything Linux and Open Source.
The event has been mainly created to spread the word about Linux as both a kernel and an operating system for personal computer or embedded devices, open source software, and anything in between. SeaGL is a technical conference where anyone who knows or wants to know what Linux is should attend.
“Our goal for SeaGL is to produce an event which is as enjoyable and informative for those who spend their days maintaining hundreds of servers as it is for a student who has only just started exploring technology options,” reads theof the SeaGL conference.
Seattle GNU/Linux Conference 2016 will take place later this year, between November 11-12, at Seattle Central College, so if you care about the future of the GNU/Linux and Open Source ecosystems you should be there. Best of all, the entrance is free, and you don’t even need to identify yourself if you want to protect your privacy.
