Samsung is just days away from unveiling one of the most anticipated smartphones of the past few months, the Galaxy Note 7. While specs and images of the upcoming smartphone have leaked online in multiple ways and forms, the actual release date is a bit unclear.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 will be officially unveiled on August 2 in an event organized in New York and broadcast on the company’s website. In addition, several launch events will be held in other cities.

At this point, it’s not sure when Samsung will actually make the Note 7 available for purchase, although some recent rumors stated that pre-orders for the smartphone are already live in Dubai. Some rumors also stated that the smartphone could go on sale on the same day of its announcement, but that might only be valid for South Korea.

Galaxy Note 7 could be released in Europe two weeks after its official unveiling

New information surfaced and it points to the fact that the Note 7 might go on sale on August 16 in the Netherlands. The report comes from Android Planet and it might indicate that the smartphone could be launched in multiple European countries on the same day. The post reveals that the Note 7 will be available in the silver and black colors, while the gold and blue variants will be released later on.

These are just rumors at this point, but more information will be available after the smartphone is officially launched next week.

Specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 leaked today revealing that the smartphone could come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with curved side edges and Gorilla Glass 5.

It might also run Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 in certain regions, together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone might also run Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Grace UX on top and have a battery capacity of 3,500mAh.
