Niantic is said to be pondering a worldwide launch of Pokemon Go, but until this happens, the company has released the game in one more country.

Android and iOS users in Germany can now download Pokemon Go from the app stores the easy way, without having to turn to all kinds of tricks to get it. Until now, Niantic’s mobile phenomenon was only available in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, but millions of users downloaded it already either by getting the APK on Android or by switching to the US store on iOS.

Mobile users in Germany can now find the game in the app store, so no such tricks are necessary anymore. What’s important to know, however, is that if you live in Germany and you are already running the game, no action is necessary.

Continue from where you left off

You can continue with the APK installed on your phone and when a new version is published in the Google Play Store, the update should be automatically downloaded and installed on the device.

There are reports that for users who uninstalled the APK and tried to download it from the store, the process failed with an error saying “Not available in your country.” The easiest workaround here is to completely remove the APK from your phone and refresh the Google Play Store to be able to download the game – a phone reboot also helps, according to some users.

Also, if you remove the game you won’t lose anything and your progress is saved automatically. Your Pokemon Go progress is tied to your account, so if you logged in with a Google account, for instance, the next time you install the game and provide the same credentials, you should be able to continue from where you left off.

In the end, if you live in Germany and want to get the game, click here to download Pokemon Go for Android or for iOS straight from the stores.
