When Periscope launched on iOS last month, an Android version was conspicuously absent from the app’s debut. The company has come forward to say that the app won’t be missing for much longer, though.
Periscope recently put together a blog post to answer some of the questions that it’s gotten about its app recently. Of course, one of those questions was “When is Android coming?” Periscope says that it’s currently working on an Android version of its app and that it’ll launch “soon.”
Considering Android’s large slice of the mobile market, it’s kind of surprising that there’s no version of Periscope available to us yet. And since there’s no Meerkat app on Android either, those of us that’d like to get in on all of the livestreaming action that’s been going on lately are out of luck. Thankfully, that’s going to change soon now that we know Periscope for Android is close. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know just as soon as it becomes available.
