AMD has just rolled out a new version of its FirePro Unified graphics driver, namely 15.301.2601, which includes support for Windows 10 TH2 operating system and fixes several bugs and issues.

Specifically speaking, the present update resolves a rare TDR error spotted when resizing the video window within workspaces of video editing software, makes sure the CF option is available in Radeon Pro Duo, and fixes Creo 3.0 Material Analysis failure events.

In addition to that, AMD has also managed to fix SolidWorks test crashes with “atio6axx.dll” on Windows 8.1 configurations, as well as remove the bug that prevented AutoDesk Maya 2015 and 2016 from using marquee in viewport.

Last but not least, users who install this new driver will receive workarounds to the event where Zero’s are shown in log file for certain tests in SPEC benchmark, and the one where SolidWorks 2015 doesn’t have Streamlines in Flow Simulation Plugins.

However, bear in mind that the producer’s 15.301.2601 version might encounter black screens in SPEC benchmarks, buffer object errors when running fragment shaders, or record failures after driver installation or update.

Considering all of the above, if you intend to apply this update, save and run the downloadable executable, and simply follow all instructions displayed for a complete upgrade. Also, make sure to perform a system reboot once the installation has finished.

That said, download AMD FirePro Unified Driver 15.301.2601, take into account all aspects described previously, and install the new release. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
