Microsoft has just released new app updates for Windows 10, and users can get them right away from the Windows Store on their PCs.
, , and are the three apps that Microsoft updates today, but just like before, no release notes have been provided for the last two. This is most often the number one sign that updates bring nothing more than bug fixes and improvements, but they’re still worth downloading, given the fact that many people are already using them.
The Mail and Calendar app update is clearly the most important release, and it appears that it finally brings an option to link inboxes. This is particularly helpful for users who have configured more than just one account in the Mail app, so jumping from one inbox to another is no longer necessary as they can easily get all messages in just one place.
It appears that there are also new improvements to images included in emails, so scaling now works correctly. Previously, larger photos were not rendered properly, and in some cases, they weren’t aligned with the text body.
Wunderlist for PC
As far as the other two app updates are concerned, they don’t seem to bring anything too exciting, although it’s important to note that the new version of Wunderlist is only available on PCs.
Although Wunderlist is also available for those on Windows 10 Mobile, it is essentially just a Windows Phone port, so it doesn’t use Windows 10 code to become a universal app. This will most likely happen at some point in the future, as Microsoft needs and wants to be the pioneer of universal apps on its Windows 10 platforms.
For the moment, Windows 10 users on PCs are recommended to download and install these updates, and if they’re not yet there in the store, check out the Downloads and updates section to look for the new versions manually.
