We’ve already told you that Microsoft has made it a priority to provide users with a more convenient way to take a selfie with their mobile phones, and as part of its increased focus on non-Windows platforms, the company is frequently improving thewith new features.
Version 2.2.0 of the Selfie app is now available on the iPhone, and it brings several improvements, including a timer. Now, if you’re wondering why you need a timer, then you’re clearly not a professional selfie maker.
Timers are what could make selfies perfect, especially in large groups where it’s pretty difficult to take the right shot because everyone’s moving, so the timer gives you a few extra seconds to make sure that nobody’s blinking or things like that.
Furthermore, the Selfie app now comes with support for 31 languages, as multilingual support has become a primary focus for Microsoft lately, no matter the app or the platform.
Selfie stick support improved too
The previous versions also brought support for selfie sticks, and the 2.2.0 release improves it by fixing some small issues here and there. And it does the same thing with the sharing feature because we all know how important it is to share a selfie quickly with someone on iMessage, email, or WhatsApp.
And last but not least, because feedback is the new black at Microsoft, the company is also offering users an option to send back app activity data to help improve the user experience. The company doesn’t say it specifically what information is being sent for a deeper inspection, but such details are very likely to be included in the terms of service.
Overall, Microsoft’s Selfie app for iOS is getting better and better on iOS, and every new release adds new features to tackle a growing number of users. The Selfie app requires iOS 8.0 or later and can be used on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
