LeEco, formerly known as Letv, has had an interesting evolution since it released its first three devices in April last year and has managed to gain brand recognition quite effectively. The company unveiled its second-generation flagship devices last month in China, and now it seems that the two smartphones will arrive in India as well.

Android Headlines reports that LeEco intends to host an event on June 8 in New Delhi and launch the Le 2 and Le Max 2. The company first released the two handsets in China last month, and it appears that it has now decided to make them available on another important market, India.

LeEco Le 2 features a 5.5-inch fullHD display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The handset is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core SoC, clocked at 2.3GHz, along with Mali-T880 graphics processing unit.

It comes with a 3,000 mAh battery and will be running Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box, together with LeEco’s UI skin on top. The Le Max 2 is currently the company’s flagship device. It’s a 5.7-inch tablet with QHD panel and 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.

It comes in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, and the second with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable memory.

Le Max 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor and has a 21MP rear camera. It drains energy from a 3,100 mAh battery, only slightly more powerful than the one on the Le 2. It sports a Qualcomm Sense ID Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that incorporates biometric security and also has an Infrared sensor.

Prices for the two devices should be similar to those in China

LeEco Le 2 costs $170 (€152) in China, which is a decent price for what the smartphone has to offer. Consequently, the 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage variant of the Le Max 2 sells for $324 (€289) while the variant with more storage space and RAM is available for $386 (€345).

Prices for the two devices should stay about the same in India. The Le 2 is expected to carry a price tag of $177 (€158) while the Max 2’s price could start at $370 (€330).
