BlackBerry is expected to launch two new devices in the upcoming month, codenamed Hamburg and Rome. It seems that new information has surfaced online, revealing that BlackBerry Hamburg could actually be called Neon. BlackBerry Rome might also see its name changed into Mercury, as an image of the smartphone has leaked.

Lately, many rumors on the BlackBerry Hamburg have leaked, culminating with the latest that shows a purported image of the smartphone together with the suggestion that the name of the smartphone will be named Neon.

A recent rumor also stated that the Alcatel Idol 4 would be rebranded as a BlackBerry device with the codename Hamburg or as of recently Neon. Twitter user The Malignant released an image of the upcoming smartphone, BlackBerry Neon. A tweet reply also reveals that the BlackBerry Neon will be partially made out of aluminum, which matches the design of the Idol 4 and Idol 4s.

BlackBerry Hamburg or Neon is said to come with 3GB of RAM

The image shows that the BlackBerry Hamburg will have a similar design as the Alcatel Idol 4, with the camera placed on the side, the design of the flash and even the metallic strips seem to be similar.

Rumored specs of the BlackBerry Hamburg point to the device coming with a 5.2-inch 1080p display and being powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with Adreno 405 graphics processing unit. The smartphone will also have 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Moreover, rear camera could reach 12MP, while the camera on the front could have 7MP. The Rumors say that the device could be sold for the price of $300-400.

An image of the BlackBerry Mercury or Rome also surfaced today and showed that the device will be having a physical keyboard on the bottom, according to AndroidWorld. It will also come with USB Type-C and will have dual speaker grills on the bottom of the device. The smartphone will come with a fingerprint scanner.
