ASUS has announced the availability of its new 380.3264 firmware build targeted at RT-AC66 (R, W, U) and RT-AC68 (R, W, U, P) router models, which resolves several common vulnerabilities and exposures, and also implements various fixes.

Specifically speaking, this update improves Windows Radius server compatibility and 5G performance, optimizes AiCloud dynamic stream port mechanism and removes its share link related issues, and fixes Safari slow response issue.

In addition to that, ASUS resolves bandwidth monitor, bandwidth limiter, and NTP automatically sync feature, fixes the setup wizard redirect issue and changes its behavior when the router detects DHCP and PPPoE at the same time.

When it comes to exposures, build 380.3264 addresses Samba Badlock CVE-2016-2110 (NTLMSSP attacks) and CVE-2016-2111 (NETLOGON Spoofing Vulnerability) problems, including a few other issues as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of installation, first save the appropriate package for your device model, unzip it and locate the .trx file, establish a wired connection between your computer and the router, and log into its administration page.

Afterwards, just go to the Firmware Version section in the webUI, and use the newly-extracted firmware file to install the new update. Once completed, your wireless unit will automatically reboot.

With this in mind, download ASUS RT-AC68 Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264 or download ASUS RT-AC66 Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3264, carefully apply it, and check back with us as often as possible to be the first to know when a newer version is available for your router.
